Commentary
My love for sports started at an early age and I was encouraged to play year-round. So, I did. My parents and grandparents spent countless hours driving my sister and I all over the city to our games, practices and events. Not only was I blessed to have the support of my family but also feel fortunate to have had the teammates, coaches and teachers, who all contributed to the incredible experiences I had at Benson High School.
There were many valuable life lessons learned playing sports. Developing a work ethic, being part of the TEAM, good sportsmanship (win or lose), being teachable and learning from my mistakes have all had a positive impact on my life.
