Inductee Class of 2026

The Selection Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Class of Inductees!

Submission Deadline: January 1, 2026

Nomination Criteria

Eligibility

  • Nominees must have received a diploma from a PIL high school.
  • Nominations are accepted for both living and deceased student-athletes, coaches, athletic directors or administrators.

Character

  • Must have been in good standing as a student.
  • Must be a citizen in good standing in their community today.

Evaluation

  • Induction is based primarily on achievements while representing a PIL high school.
  • Athletic accomplishments after graduation may also be considered.

Timing

  • Student-athletes become eligible for induction 10 years after their class has graduated.
  • Coaches and athletic directors are eligible two years after leaving their role.
  • Exceptions must be approved by the Executive Committee.
Process

How to Submit a Nomination

Submit the completed form by January 1 of the induction year. Forms received after the deadline will be considered the following year.

Gather Documentation

Complete the Nomination Form, including as much detail as you can about the nominee’s accomplishments, honors and school and community impact. Be sure to save the form.

Ensure Accuracy

Please provide as much information as possible so the selection committee can start its research immediately.

Submit the Form

  • If emailing, send it from your personal email address as our online form does not accept attachments.
  • To mail your submission, use the address listed at the bottom of the nomination form.

Important Notes

The selection committee evaluates nominees based on their athletic achievements, character and contributions to the PIL community. Each nominee must demonstrate excellence in their sport and a commitment to sportsmanship and leadership.

  • Nominations are accepted for deceased PIL alumni, coaches and athletic directors.
  • Each high school has a set number of nominees per year. They are as follows:
    • 5 Nominees: Benson, Cleveland, Franklin, Grant, Jefferson, Lincoln, Roosevelt
    • 4 Nominees: Madison, Marshall, Wilson
    • 3 Nominees: Jackson, Washington
    • 1 Nominee: Adams, Sabin
