3 Track & Field letters, on PIL Champion 4x100 Relay Team all 3 years; State Mile Relay as a Sophomore, and State Long Jump champ as a Senior.
Post-High School Career
2 Track letters at Lane Community College;2 years of Football and Track at the University of Oregon. On winning 4x100 and Mile Relay teams in Oregon’s NCAA Championship team in 1984. Team Nike Qualifier in 1984 Olympic Trial with bests of 10.2 in the 100m and 20.8 in the 200m. Retail Manager for Fred Meyerfor over 30 years; personal trainer for 20+ years, and business owner of LIFTSpeed for the last3 years.
Commentary
A Lesson I learned is hard work always pays-off. It helped me to not take any opportunity for granted. It encouraged me to give my best at everything I do in life and believe in myself.
Parents, Teachers and coaches told me "I could do whatever I want to do, if I wanted to do it bad enough."
They inspired me to give my very best every play in every meet or game. Hard work, discipline with focused effort will take you very far in sports and life.
