Commentary

My experience with the Jefferson track team left me with many lessons, memories, friendships and inspirations that I carry with me today. It was our team success that drove my competitiveness.

I am both proud and taken aback that my athletic accomplishments place me among some great athletes. My gratitude extends to many people who played an important role in my successes at Jefferson. I thank God, my Mom and Dad, family, children and spouse for their great love and support, not to forget all my friends.

Special thank you to my brother Orlando Vance, who was always cheering me and supporting me. Your love will always be in my heart! Thanks Big Brother. And thanks to coach Phil Waldon for taking us to all the track meets!
