3 baseball letters: Member of two State Championship Teams and three PIL Championship Teams; 1st Team All-PIL; 1st Team All-State. Senior year had a 0.00 ERA and averaged two strikeouts per inning.
Post-High School Career
In summer American Legion ball, Ley struck out 21 in a 7-inning game and 22 in a 9-inning game; Pitched professionally for eight years, including a shutout for Portland Beavers on opening day.
