All-American football quarterback. First team All-State and All-PIL two years. Played in three high school all-star games in 1959. Member of two State Championship teams. Two-time All-State and All-PIL in basketball and member of two PIL Championship teams. Pitched team to State Baseball Championship and played in All-State All-Star game.
Post-High School Career
Two-year All-American quarterback at Oregon State University. Winner of Heisman Trophy. All-Star on OSU basketball team that went to the Final Four. Played three years with Los Angeles Rams in NFL and one year in the Canadian Football League.
