Commentary
Being involved in athletics in high school and beyond taught me life lessons that I still live by today. In order to be successful in all walks of life one must be dedicated and determined to the tasks at hand, be able to work with people, have empathy for those around them and be humble. These are the lessons I learned throughout my athletic career that I try and carry out in my personal and professional life today. As a father and husband I utilize these traits for the betterment of my children and wife and as a professional (managing 40+ people and a large geography for Eaton Corporation) I use these skills to lead, manage and hopefully serve as a role model to my superiors, subordinates, peers and customers. Having played athletics is a gift that continues to give back.
