was outstanding player for University of Oregon; played in the American Basketball Association for eight seasons and was an All-Star for three years, averaging more than 20 points per game during two seasons; joined Portland Trail Blazers in 1975 and retired after one season; then became a television analyst for CBS, NBC, TNT, TBS and the Blazers.
