Portland State University graduate in Business Administration. 2-year football before career ending injury. Assistant Vice President at U.S. Bank. Softball Coach at Centennial High since 2005.
Commentary
My athletic inspiration came from my youth coach Dick Vavrek. His belief in me gave me the drive to succeed in all aspects of life. I am truly grateful for the lessons he taught on and off the field.
In high school I was blessed to be coached by a Hall of Fame staff — Darrell Everett, Bill Smethurst, Monty Rurey, and Don Francin, all who encouraged and pushed us to reach our full potential. Their lessons in teamwork and pride have carried over into my every day life.
Thanks to my family and friends for all their love and support and to the entire coaching and teaching staff for instilling the "Red Hat" pride.
