High School Honors
3-year letter winner in Track, PIL champion in the high and low hurdles and 440 relay as junior and senior; State 440 relay champions & record holders as a junior; State champion in high hurdles and second in low hurdles, anchored a second place finish in the 440 relay as a senior. High point man at State championship as a senior; High School All-American in both hurdles in junior & senior years. Won the 1968 Oregon Indoor Meet high hurdles. 2-year letter winner in football. 2-year letter winner in wrestling.
Post-High School Career
Ran track at the University of Oregon and member of the 1970 NCAA national championship team which was inducted into the University of Oregon Athletic Hall of Fame 2011. Has served 17 years as an assistant track coach (hurdles) at Grant High. 15 years as a stand-up comedian.
