3-year letter winner in track. After winning the Jayvee mile championship as a sophomore, he was elevated to Varsity and helped the Colonials win the 1949 PIL team Championship. 2-year letter winner in cross country, PIL and State champion as junior; PIL champion and 2nd in State by 2 steps to Bill Dillinger of Olympic fame as a senior. Post-High School Career
University of Portland, won 4 letters each in track and cross country on scholarship. Lived and worked in Japan for 38 years for Sega, the giant multinational video game maker.
