Football letter winner. PIL First Team; member of two PIL Championship teams. Track and Field letter winner. PIL champion in high jump; second place in State Meet in shot put.
Post-High School Career
Played football at both University of Oregon and Oregon State University. Coached all sports at Sheridan and Newberg High Schools; coached track and field and football at Jefferson High School. Portland State University head track and field coach 35 years; head football coach one year. In charge of Olympic track and field officials in 1984.
