Commentary
The inspirational words of advice from my Dad and his older brother "George Jr." are etched in my mind: "Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance."
I learned great coaching lessons from legendary Madison High baseball coach Dave Gasser. I used many of those lessons during college baseball and later when I coached my own three children and their friends in baseball, basketball, football, track and dance.
My life-long inspiration came from my Mom "Dottie" and my Dad "George Sr." They never missed a game and only a handful or practices in my sports career.
