Linfield College – Football (2nd team All-Conference), basketball, track and field. Coached football and baseball at Franklin HS and Cleveland HS. 20-year football coach at Linfield College (122-51-10); won seven Northwest Conference championships; national runner-up in NAIA playoffs twice. Linfield College Director of Athletics 19 years. Member of Helms Athletic Hall of Fame, NAIA Football Coaches Hall of Fame, Oregon Sports Hall of Fame, Linfield College Athletic Hall of Fame. NAIA National Football Coach of the Year – 1962. Oregon Sports Man of the Year – 1961.
