Football (all-PIL, all-state, two-way standout, scored 102 points in ’66), track and field (set state records in 100-yard dash and 220-yard dash, finishing in 9.6 and 21.3 seconds, member of state-record 440- and 880-yard relay teams, also went 23-6 in the long jump, the best mark ever at the time)
