Commentary
Lloyd served in the US Army during the Korean War as a marksman. After his duty, he returned to Portland and started a heating and air conditioning business until his 1992 retirement. Lloyd was an inspiration to his family and friends, and especially to his two sons who have been successful in their careers. His oldest son Gregg is a dentist in private practice in Gilbert, AZ. Younger son Randy has coached gymnastics at Penn State for 22 years, winning three national championships and Coach of the Year honors three years. Lloyd was an avid hunter and fisherman. His two sons were the pride of his life. He was a tremendous source of encouragement to them in academics and athletics. (Commentary provided by son Gregg, who received the HOF plaque on Lloyd's behalf.)
