Presented in appreciation of the support that Broadmoor Golf Course has given to the Portland Interscholastic Hall of Fame.
PIL teams have played and practiced at Broadmoor Golf Course, and it also served for many years as the site of the annual PIL HOF Mel Krause scramble event.
The Portland Interscholastic League Hall of Merit Award (officially renamed the Roy Love PIL Hall of Fame Distinguished Service Award in 2017) celebrates individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to the PIL community and to honoring and preserving the rich history of high school athletics in Portland.
