Soccer: 3-year letter winner; All-PIL as a Junior and Senior. Basketball: 4-year letter winner; All-PIL as a Sophomore, Junior and Senior; All-State Honorable Mention as Senior. Tennis: 1-year letter winner; State Doubles participant. Softball: 3-year letter winner; All-PIL as a Sophomore and Junior.
Post-High School Career
University of Portland Basketball 1990-91; University of Nevada Basketball 1991-95; earned numerous Big West Player of the Week at Nevada.Coached PIL Basketball for 7 years at Roosevelt and Benson High Schools; Head Girls’ Soccer Coach at Benson High School for 3 years (Coach of the year, 1999); currently Basketball Coach at LaSalle High School for 2 years (Coach of the Year, 2013).
Commentary
My daughters Taycee, Addi, and Ella have been so inspirational in my life. They are all amazing young ladies and gifted athletes that I have been blessed to be able to parent, coach, teach, and hopefully inspire to learn from all of my lessons and athletic experience.
Sports became a huge part of my life in the 5th grade. I grew up in a single parent home where life was not always easy. My mom was always loving and did her very best. I was fortunate at a young age to be a natural athlete who was embraced by coaches and teammates and was taken in as “another daughter” to so many loving families.
Athletics became my identity and my passion. There were so many coaches, teammates, and experiences along the way from farm league baseball (being the only girl) to Division 1 basketball. All of the people, the bad times, the good times, the sad times, the happy times, the blood, sweat and tears that have molded me along the way have made me want to share my knowledge and passion with my daughters and all of the young athletes that I have been so lucky to coach who still inspire me everyday and continue to help me grow as a person and a coach!
Vocationally, I am Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at LaSalle Prep.
