High School Honors
3-year Football letterman. 1st Team All-PIL running back as a Senior. 2-year Track & Field letterman. PIL Champion in the 120-yard Low Hurdles; school record holder at 13.0.
Post-High School Career
U of O for 1 year, played on Freshman team. Lewis & Clark College, 1946-48; Football letterman. At St. Martin's High School in Olympia (WA), coached multiple sports and served as Athletic Director, 1950-61; Inducted into St. Martin's Athletic Hall of Fame, 1995. Also coached at Moses Lake (WA), and Roosevelt and Marshall High Schools in Portland, winning 3 PIL Football Titles and 1 Track & Field championship at Marshall. Jack died in 1975. Joins son Mike Monahan (1967) of Marshall High School in this year's induction class.
