Three-year Football letter winner; First Team All-PIL and Second Team All-PIL; Played both as Running Back and Defensive Back. PIL 100-yard Dash Track and Field Champion as sophomore and Second in State Meet; Part of PIL 440-yard Relay Championship Team and also Second in State Meet his Junior year in 100-yard Dash.
Post-High School Career
Ran Track at University of Oregon before joining ROTC at start of Korean war; Served 22 years, retired as Lt. Col.
