Commentary
My source of athletic inspiration early on was my brother Ron, a 1972 all-city tailback and team MVP. I desired to be as good as he. My favorite coach was Jack Dunn, who coached basketball at Hayhurst Grade School. His coaching savvy and incredible wit launched my life-long love of basketball.
In my 37 year career as a restaurant owner, I've learned that teamwork is essential-a trait I learned early on the basketball courts. Having outstanding teammates like I did was a huge bonus. I am very happy to be joining several of those teammates in the PIL Hall of Fame-a great honor indeed.
