Commentary

(Notes from conversation)

Damion was inspired to compete and looked up to his older brother and fellow inductee Lloyd Martindale; impressed with Lloyd's success and dedication. Began having his own success and came out of the shadows of his older brother. Always felt the full support of his family.

In College, one of his NCAA victories was over wrestling legend Brock Lesnar in 1997, giving Lesnar his first college loss. Lesnar went on to win the Ultimate Fighting Championship and is a big name in the World Wrestling Entertainment.
