Commentary

In High School I idolized and wanted to be like former Jefferson football star Floyd Simmons who played at Notre Dame, was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1948 and inducted into the PIL HOF in 2002.

I always loved competition in sports and believe that hard work and experience in athletics translates to success in work and life. I'm thankful and proud that athletics enabled me and mythree sons to attend college on scholarships.

The competitiveness I learned while playing athletics gave me the desire and will power to overcome the adversities thrown my way.
